1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using FileDroppy ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

FileDroppy is a file sharing service that allows users to upload files and share them via unique download links. The Service is available in free and paid (Pro) plans with different feature limits.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Upload, share, or distribute illegal content
• Upload malware, viruses, or other malicious software
• Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
• Share copyrighted material without authorization
• Distribute child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
• Harass, threaten, or harm other users
• Attempt to circumvent service limitations or security measures
• Use automated tools to mass-upload or scrape content
• Use the Service for spam or unsolicited communications

We reserve the right to remove any content and suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms without prior notice.

5. File Storage & Expiration

Files uploaded to the Service are stored temporarily and automatically deleted upon expiration:

• Free plan: Files expire after 7 days
• Pro plan: Files expire after 30 days

FileDroppy is not a long-term storage solution. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of any files you upload.

6. Service Limits

The Service imposes limits based on your plan:

• Free plan: 500 MB per file, 2 GB per transfer, 20 files per transfer
• Pro plan: 5 GB per file, 20 GB per transfer, 100 files per transfer

We reserve the right to modify these limits at any time with reasonable notice.

7. Paid Subscriptions

Pro plan subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly through Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to:

• Pay the applicable fees for your chosen plan
• Automatic renewal unless cancelled before the renewal date
• Stripe's terms of service for payment processing

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

8. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to the files you upload. By using the Service, you grant FileDroppy a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and transmit your files solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

The FileDroppy name, logo, and website design are our intellectual property and may not be used without written permission.

9. Virus Scanning

All uploaded files are scanned for malware and viruses. Files detected as malicious may be quarantined or deleted without notice. While we strive to detect all threats, we cannot guarantee that all malicious files will be identified.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FileDroppy shall not be liable for:

• Loss of data or files
• Service interruptions or downtime
• Damages resulting from unauthorized access to your account
• Damages arising from the use or inability to use the Service
• Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FileDroppy, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, and your files may be deleted.

13. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or email.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through applicable legal channels.
